Heidi's philosophy is that the issues that bring an individual to treatment do not indicate that the person

is flawed or broken, but that life experiences and genetics have taught/programmed the individual's brain

to react in a way (e.g., anxiety) that interferes with the individual's ability to function. By changing thoughts and

behavior patterns the brain learns more functional patterns of response which with repetition become habitual

and replace thoughts and behaviors that were problematic. The new responses/behaviors are long lasting and
